{Abby & Skylar}

Abby and Skylar were married on May 28, 2023, at the gorgeous Historic Shady Lane in York, PA. I had the pleasure of photographing Abby years ago when she was in high school, and our paths crossed again when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding two years prior, on the same weekend. One thing I love about weddings is that you can really get to know a couple when you are surrounded by them and all of their family and friends.

Abby has a quiet energy about her that radiates love. As Skylar fondly describes, “She gave me the confidence to face the real world because I knew she always had my back. That was the reason I was able to go across the country by myself. Being away at sea in the middle of the ocean, not knowing where you are, makes you think more than you ever have before. It made me realize how important she is to me and what really matters in the world. I love the life we live, and I couldn’t ask for more!”

Skylar, on the other hand, brings joy and laughter to Abby’s life. She lovingly reflects, “Skylar is fun and goofy and makes me laugh. He is truly my best friend and the love of my life. Even when he was thousands of miles away in the middle of the ocean, Skylar always found a way to make me feel special. He would send me countless emails every day and call me on a prepaid phone whenever he was back at port. I am so grateful to have him by my side.”

Their wedding day was blessed with a beautiful late spring ambiance, and Abby’s choice of light green floor-length dresses for her bridesmaids perfectly complemented the light and airy pink and white florals crafted by Fiddlestix Florals. They exchanged their heartfelt vows in a picturesque ceremony site, overlooking the magnificent greenhouse. The inclusion of their two sweet dogs added an extra touch of love and warmth to the occasion, and Forever and Fur Always took exceptional care of their furry companions throughout the wedding festivities.

Dinner and dancing were filled with joy and laughter, creating unforgettable memories for everyone present. As I captured their love and the essence of their best day ever, Abby and Skylar, I am grateful for the opportunity to witness and document the love and connection you share. May your journey together be adorned with endless love, laughter, and happiness. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day!
