{Erika & Ryan}

Erika & Ryan had their wedding at the Masonic Temple in Center City, Philadelphia. I hadn’t met the couple in person until the day of their wedding, but I hit it off with the couple immediately on the phone. Their excitement and true joy was contagious. Candy, my associate photographer and I drove into the city, grabbed a quick lunch and then met the couple where they were getting ready at The Notary Hotel. The cutest boutique hotel near Independence Hall.

Erika’s style was pure class and elegance. I loved the large bow on the back on her gown. She chose a sage green color for her girls, but each bridesmaid had a different style, and fabric. She has a bridesman in her party, Matt who was the most fun. Just great energy! Erika also wore her mother’s vintage veil. I was obsessed! Their only pose request was a shot looking up on Independence hall, and it was beautiful!

The Masonic Temple was beautiful, floor after floor of ornate rooms. I loved that Erika had both her mom and dad walk her down the aisle. I never understood why the mothers of brides don’t have a moment with their daughter on their wedding.

Their cocktail hour was in a room that had stained glass stars in the ceiling and the food tasted as good as it looked. They had a traditional Horah dance at the reception with the groomsmen and friends raising the couple on chairs. Loved it. Their band, The Central City Band was amazing, made me want to stay all night!
