{Heidi & Alec}

Heidi and Alec tied the knot on a beautiful October 7, 2023, at the enchanting Juniata Valley Winery. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor fall ceremony. The day before and the morning of the wedding, rain showers threatened, but luckily, when we arrived to start capturing the magic, the rain clouds magically disappeared, and the sun came out to play. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and boy, was I in for a treat! The place was a treasure trove of stunning portrait spots.

Heidi had an amazing lineup of fall-colored, floor-length gowns for her bridesmaids, while she herself donned a breathtaking open-back dress. Alec rocked a dapper dark brown suit, and his groomsmen sported stylish light tan suits. Adding a dash of fun to the Carr family, there were some playful touches, like antique car-themed shirt buttons and cufflinks, and even a wooden “Just Married” car at the reception as a thoughtful gift.

They decided to have a “first look” session, allowing us to capture most of their portraits before the ceremony. And after this heartwarming moment, they exchanged letters to each other. What a brilliant idea! It’s a great way to express your love in a private setting before saying “I do.”

The ceremony site offered a view of rows of grapes, and with the ever-changing weather, we witnessed some breathtaking clouds dancing in the sky. Heidi’s uncles, aka the “Flower Dudes” with fanny packs, added a fun twist by scattering dried flowers, and the guests absolutely loved it. The look on Heidi’s face as they walked back down the aisle was priceless – pure happiness!

The reception was a feast for the senses, with delicious food and some fantastic dancing. To top it off, Heidi’s mom created a bunch of individual cheesecakes that looked almost too good to eat.
