Wedding Detail Shot Guide
The details of a wedding are what make each one so unique and special to the couple. Each wedding tells a story and the detail shots capture the whole look and feel of your special day in one photo. Here is my photographer’s guide on what to bring on your wedding day for your detail shots…
First off, bring your invitation and any other stationary that is specific to your wedding day. If your envelope contains something specific, such as a personalized stamp, calligraphy, or a wax seal, bring that as well! The more details the better.
Secondly, this is a great time to show off the wedding bands! I love when my clients have personalized ring boxes that match the colors of the wedding. You can find these on Etsy! Make sure the rings are cleaned and sparkly before your big day!
Next, the “getting ready” bridal details! Collect your jewelry, wedding shoes, veil, perfume bottle, hair barrette, and any heirlooms that you would want included in your detail shots. This could also include your something blue, borrowed, or new!
Finally, the filler details! Be sure to set aside a few flowers from your bouquet or table setting to bring a pop of greenery to the photos. You could also bring ribbon, a jewelry dish, wedding stamp, personalized hanger, or anything else that goes with your wedding aesthetic.
You and your partner’s wedding is the most important day of your lives and I am forever grateful to be a part of it.
